The question of how to not smell like weed after smoking is a common one. We’ve all been there. That moment when you take the last hit of the bowl, sinking into the couch when all of a sudden you look at your phone. You completely forgot you have lunch with your family in 15 minutes. Your eyes are redder than red and you reek of marijuana. What do you do? The best way to not smell like weed is to prevent it while you smoke, but sometimes you find yourself in a situation where you know you smell and you need to cover it up.  No need to worry, today I’m going to be giving tips on how to not smell like weed while smoking and after.

This is the look we’ll be trying to avoid.

When asking how to not smell like weed, you have to first look at your actions during smoking. First off, try to stay away from blunts and joints as they are naturally the smelliest way to smoke. Your best bet is a vaporizer, if you have access to one. They are by far the least smelly your options, and the vapor will definitely not stick to your clothes. If you don’t have a vaporizer, the next best for limiting smell would be a one hitter. We’d recommend the DC Crafts one hitter pipe (click here to view more on Amazon), if you don’t currently have one.

Make sure you try to blow the smoke out of a window, or better yet a smoke buddy. If you have never heard of a smoke buddy, you’re missing out. It’s a sploof (a filter that eliminates any smoke you blow through it). It works wonders, click here to check it out.  Smoking with a smoke buddy is the only way you can smoke inside and not smell. Your best bet is to just go outside so the smoke doesn’t have anywhere to linger.

It’s also very important to keep your weed in a solid smell proof container. This way the smell of the weed itself won’t leak out. We recommend the DankTank as seen below.

How to make yourself not smell like weed after smoking:

There are 2 things that smell after you smoke: you and your clothes. The best way to not smell like weed is to bring an extra shirt with you, and change after you are done smoking. Another way to make sure your clothes don’t smell is to wear a hoodie when you smoke, and take it off when you are done. Typically you don’t have to worry about pants too much as your shirt will smell much more.  Obviously if you hotbox your pants will smell too – just use your best judgement (your best judgement should be telling you not to hotbox if there’s a chance you’ll need to smell normal later). If you don’t have access to a shirt or hoodie to change into, you can try spraying body spray or cologne to mask the scent. Be careful to not use too much as this can make it obvious you are covering something up; instead of smelling like weed, now you’ll smell like too much cologne and weed, which smells much worse and is just as suspicious. Now that we have taken care of your clothes, the other main place that is going to smell is your hands (especially if you touched the weed directly). You can either wash them with soap or use hand sanitizer, either will work!

One last thing to consider when asking the question, how to not smell like weed after smoking, is your breath. It is an often forgotten element of remaining stealthy post sesh, but the fact is, if you inhale a smelly substance for a few minutes, your breath is going to smell like said substance. Luckily, this is an easy fix. Just pickup some mints or gum from your local gas station, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, or online if you’d like (click here to view spearmint gum on Amazon). Just pop in a mint or piece of gum after smoking, and your breath will be A-OK.

Your clothes are fine, your hands smell great, and your breath is fresh. You’ve now eliminated all the main sources of smell when it comes to smoking weed, you should be fine for whatever smell-good situation life has thrown at you.
